The most revered master of the Nyingma tradition of modern times was Jigme Lingpa Ranjung Kyentse Ozer (1729/1730-1798). His Longchen Nyingtig cycle of revelations, received in a vision from Longchen Rabjampa (1308-1364), has become perhaps the most widely spread cycle of Dzogchen practice of modern times.
